Skincare Products

Makeup Remover
Removing excess product from your face enhances your skin’s ability to absorb everything else. This should be the first step in your skincare routine. There is no better feeling than going to bed with a fresh face!

Facial Cleanser
Cleansers are used to rid your face of excess oil, dirt, makeup, dead skin and unwanted debris that can lead to clogged pores and bacteria. We recommend working the product in a circular motion and leaving it on the skin for approximately 30 seconds to let active ingredients have time to their job. After, rinse with water, especially around the hairline where product can tend to be left behind.

Toners are used to restore the pH balance of your skin. Cleansers can disrupt the balance and when this happens, your skin becomes more vulnerable to bacteria and has to work harder to return to normal levels. Using a toner can help speed up the process to restore your skin’s natural and normal pH balance. Toner can be applied to the entire face with a cotton pad, working from your T-zone (nose, chin and forehead areas) moving outward.

Facial Serums are lightweight, concentrated moisturizers that penetrate deep into the skin to deliver active ingredients. Because serums are concentrated, a little can go along way. To apply facial serum, gently press it into your skin.

Eye Cream
Eye creams are formulated to hydrate the delicate skin surrounding the eyes. To apply eye cream, use your ring finger and gently tap a small amount of cream in an upward motion under and above the eyes.

Facial moisturizers serve the purpose of hydrating the skin and reinforcing its natural barrier. Skin types can vary, so it is best to find a moisturizer suitable for your skin type, based on if it is oily, dry or in between. To apply facial moisturizer, massage it into the skin in an upward motion. Don’t forget about your neck and chest areas too!

Sunscreen works to protect the skin from UV rays that can be harmful and lead to sun damage, burns and premature signs of aging. Facial skin is delicate and constantly exposed to the elements, so it is important to protect it! Ensure that the SPF is at least 30 and is formulated specifically for the face. Sunscreen should be applied daily, and massaged into the skin like moisturizer. If you have excess sunscreen, rub it into your neck, chest and the back of your hands!

Facial exfoliation works to break down the skin’s outermost surface made of dry skin cells and reveal fresh, new layers of skin. Exfoliation can help reduce clogged pores, blemishes, hyperpigmentation and dry skin. Facial exfoliation is recommended to be a part of your skincare routine two to three times a week. To exfoliate, use gentle pressure and scrub in a circular motion. A tip to remember is to exfoliate for longer, not harder!

Face masks are easy skincare treatments to work in to your skincare routine when you have specific skin concerns. Find a facemask that targets your skin type and apply it after exfoliation. The results will leave you glowing!

Skin types vary, so your daily skin routine can be customized to best suit the results you’re seeking. If you’re looking to go one step further in your skincare practices, treat yourself to a facial at Soma Spa. Visit to view our facial treatment services and to book an appointment online.
